    The Henderson County Sheriff’s Officer has one jail located at 50 Natchez Trace Drive in Lexington, Tennessee.  Our facility was built in 1974 and has the capability to house 56 inmates.  Currently, we average 80 inmates with space available for approximately 16 female prisoners and 40 male prisoners.  Weekend capacity can exceed 90 inmates.

     The Sheriff’s Department employs eight full-time Correctional Officers, a part-time Correctional Officer, and a Jail Administrator.  Correctional Officers work 12-hour shifts with rotating days off.
